Tips to Earn Money From Blogging

Earn Money

Bloggers can write about any topic that interests them and earn money based on two things:
  1. How many views a blog gets (how much traffic it pulls in) and
  2. How many people click on ads that are strategically placed by the blogger website. In order to earn good money, bloggers must learn one very important trick...getting their blog noticed.
Here are some tips on making good money blogging.

Tip #1 - Blog about something you're passionate about and have a lot of knowledge on.
When you first begin a blog, think about what subjects interest you most. Do you enjoy gardening, creating recipes, fixing things? What topics are you most experienced in? Blog about something that you know you can blog about often and never get tired talking about. Bloggers tend to get burned out because their topic becomes mudane and redundant or they run out of things to blog about. Be sure that, before you start a blog, you have a topic you care deeply about or are passionately interested in and the "earning money" part of blogging will come naturally.

Tip #2 - Use highly sought out 'keywords' for your blog to earn money.
Research the internet for your intended subject. Are people searching for delicious recipes, travel tips, or parenting issues? Once you've found a topic you're interested in, search out a keyword based on that subject.

The more traffic a keyword brings in, the better your chances of making money off of it. Next, be sure to use that specific keyword often in your blog. Every blog post should contain that word more than a few times in order to pull in traffic. For instance, if your writing about travel tips, be sure to use the words travel as much as possible in a way that doesn't drag down your blog.

The trick is to encourage people to look at your blog while making it interesting and catchy. Another great way to increase traffic is to submit your blog, or each blog posting to Google, Yahoo, and other search engine directories to get noticed and make money. See the resource list below for direct links to submit your blog.

Tip #3 - Post only articles on your blog that are interesting, unique, and pertain to your blog.
If you're writing about parenting issues, you wouldn't want to put any posts on your blog that explain how to fix a toilet..unless of course your children broke that toilet! Making good money while blogging means being sure that your posts are pertinent to your blog. People will only want to read your blog if you are discussing a topic consistently and thoroughly that they are interested in. Swaying away from the subject will bore and irritate readers and make them leave your blog.

If you have trouble thinking of things to write, try this trick...post a summary of another person's article pertaining to a topic in your blog and include a link to that person's article. These are the fastest and easiest posts to create. However, do not do this all the time and do be sure that you give proper credit or else you chance plagerism. Your article should be mostly your own posts, but if you do come across an article that pertains to your blog and would be helpful to others, include it as a post and you'll earn good money.

Tip #4 - Place ads on your blog through Google AdSense to earn money
Google AdSense is a website where you can sign up to have ads put on your blog for free. You make money from those ads when viewers click them while reading your posts. This is why step #2 and step #3 are so important in this article. When your keywords are consistent and constant throughout your posts and you write articles that pertain to your blog, Google will recognize those words and posts and place pertinent ads on your site for interested readers to click on.

You want those ads to stand out and encourage readers to click. Google places ads on your blog that reflect things you write about. The better the posts on your blog, the better the ads...and...the more money you'll earn. Google pays by check as soon as you hit the payment threshold (see Google AdSense's guidelines under FAQ's), however, you can have your funds directed deposited into a checking account that you'll need to set up through Google's website. See the resource list below for a link to Google AdSense.

Tip #5 - You can earn good money by signing up for affiliate programs such as eBay, Amazon, Yahoo, and ClickBank...to name a few
Affiliate programs allow you to register for an account where companies place their ads on your blog and you earn a certain percentage of the money they earn when the ads are clicked. When readers are interested in your blog, they are tempted to click your affiliate ads, much like they would Google AdSense ads.

The nice part about affiliate programs is that most pay you through PayPal so are sure to get a monthly income that's easily direct deposited without the need for signing up for payment by check. However, you will need to sign up for a Paypal account if you don't already have one. The exception to this is ClickBank who will ask you to sign up for an account with them since they pay you through their own site (ClickBank is similar to PayPal). See resource list below for affiliate program links.

Tip #6 - Take a look at others' blogs to see how they are earning money with blogging
One of the best ways to make money blogging is to ask other bloggers what their secrets are. Find out how well they do at making money from their blog and what tips, if any, they could offer you as a prospective blogger. There are some really great blogs out there that are making large amounts of money. You just have to do find them.

Most bloggers are more than happy to share their money making secrets if you just ask. Sign up for a bloggers email, follow their blog, or add them to your Yahoo account. Do whatever it takes to show your genuine interest in their blog. Most bloggers will follow you in return as a favor, which also increases traffic to your blog. Making friends and helping each other out is a great way to make money online. See the resource list below for a link to a blog that is making great money and also offers you steps to do the same.

Happy Blogging..
